The Pioneer Squares

The Pioneer Squares pack dance floors with high-energy party rock at nightclubs, casinos, community festivals, corporate and private events, and nonprofit fundraisers. 

The Pioneer Squares came together in 2017 with the goal to focus on music that audiences react to. We grew up listening to 60's classic rock & soul, 70's AM radio and prog rock, 80's MTV hits and metal, and 90's alt-rock. We struggle to whittle down the list of thousands of songs that we want to play, but ultimately we focus on singalong mega-hits that your friends know and love. We are laser-focused on entertaining audiences. We choose music that audiences react to. If a song doesn't consistently get people onto the dance floor and singing along, then we ruthlessly axe it from the setlist. We keep between-songs banter to a minimum, and we barely pause between songs. When the crowd is dancing and enthusiastic, we've been known to play two hours without a break. We are here to serve you. We're professional. We show up on time, we set up and tear down quickly, we're polite, we're flexible, we're sober, we bring additional lights, our gear works, and we dress up to show that we take the job seriously. We often bring giveaways for the audience -- glow necklaces, blinky things, beach balls, bubble machines -- whatever the occasion calls for.

Audiences all over Western Washington have responded to that formula. We've played stages big and small: casinos -- our 2024 New Year's Eve gig at Angel of the Winds Casino was a highlight -- nightclubs, community festivals, weddings, nonprofit fundraisers and private events from Seattle to Olympia, Issaquah to Sequim, Tacoma to Arlington to Kirkland to Mill Creek to Snohomish. (And of course Seattle's Pioneer Square!)
